Description

So it occured to me that Kiri has kind of grown independent from me. She isn't really "me" anymore. She's more like, who I wish I could be. So, I decided that I would make another character to really be "me" [and function as my art/music mascot.] Here's the result from that.
Her name is Kitschicarthius [pronounced kit-shih-kar-thee-uhs] and she is a deer monster. Critiques are requested and openly encouraged from viewers please please please ;o;

Oh, and Kiri will still be my sona/main character. This character will just function as a mascot and as "me" while Kiri functions more like "my imagination."

ayup.
Kitsch is mine, etc.
Ref made in Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop Elements 8.0.

any character you make will eventually become not-you. as you grow, you will begin subconsciously dumping things on them that you see yourself as being, and the more you grow the farther away you become from those things and the next thing you know you have another kiri AKA something that was once you but now represents an answer to all your flaws. no matter how hard you try to keep this from happening, you will never be able to view something that doesn't look like you completely as yourself, but will instead view it as a mirror of yourself. you can either become lost in this and believe that you are this thing that will never be you creating an ever increasing gap between who you are and who you believe you are, do what you did and make another one to fill the hole it left in your imagination, or just ignore the issue entirely and let the hole fill itself back up on it's own. the only real bad option is the first.
